Letter, official stationery, United States Post Office, Alameda, Calif. Size: 8 x 10 1/2 inches. History of Object: Photo (a): mail carriers assembled on what appears to be the stairs of the Alameda Free Library, circa 1912. Men unidentified, possibly one could be the husband of Mabel Tennant, who was an employee of the Post Office during this period. Letter (b): letter of appreciation sent to Mrs. M. Tennant, for the use of her photograph of the Alameda postal carriers, which was on display in 1954, celebrating the 100 anniversary of the Alameda Post Office, signed by Ford E.
