Description: Binder with Hard Cover covered in black stippled buckram, with almost sandpaper-like finish. Glued to cover is L5" x W4" card with typed label, stating: City of Alameda -California, Departmental Annual Reports 1929 1930”.
Binder is of type ‘Grip Binder and Perforator’, with pushpin contraption with emblem ‘C & C, Patent applied’. Has added note on tissue paper stating ‘See Printed Report’.

Documents include number of departmental requisitions; building permits issued; fire dept. report including injured firefighters and victims of fire; no. of alarms and causes of fires, repairs (to fire engines); Police Dept. report including mileage for police vehicles, graphs of arrests, complaints, list of fines and violations, property stolen & recovered, budget including salaries, insurance for injuries. Includes photos for the Recreation Dept. report:
