The emblem (transfer) of the Alameda Sanatorium (later Hospital), consisting of a red cross encircled by green oak leaves is also included as part of the plate’s decorations. On the reverse side the manufacturer’s signature "O.P.Co., Syracuse China, F-5", and pattern name "Encanto", design copyrighted 1922.
