It has an ebonized wooden handle. It has a tin receptacle for holding coffee beans. It has a screw top like a jar lid. It has a faint stencil in gold "44 Regal". The word Regal is also embossed in the cast iron support. The whole body is in black. Size: 12 inches in length and the handle is six inches in length, Storage area for coffee is 4½ across. History of Object: old fashioned coffee grinder used in the home of Borgwardt about 1900. This is an old Alameda family known to have lived on Lincoln Avenue as early as 1896.
