Size: L 8 1/2 x W 5 1/2 inches History of Object: Program for art-walk through what was once Japantown, with a map showing points on the walk were the Buddhist Temple of Alameda, 2325 Pacific, and the Buena Vista United Methodist Church, 2311 Buena Vista Ave. The Art part of the walk were performances under auspices by Rhythmix Cultural Works. Further co-sponsored by the Alameda Free Library and the City's Economic Develoment and Community Services Department. Japantown used to be on north Park Street, near the Church and Temple. 4 markers were being installed as reminders of this rich and oppressed cultural segment of the community.
