History of Object: Objects were offered to patrons as advertising objects to light their cigarettes. A: Tim's: 1619 Webster St., owner was Joe Gershick, later location Otaez Mexican restaurant, now Ceron Kitchen (as of 2022). B: Horgan's Red Lamp: The Horgans alo operated out of the Driftwood. The Red Lamp was on Webster St. C: The Officer's Mess on the Naval Air Station ('the Base') handed out matchbooks in different colors, white, green, blue... D: Walt's Menshop address: 1437 Park St. (1970s) - later Silver Tree Fine Gifts, now (at least as of 2018) Town Tavern; upstairs home to China House restaurant (2328 Santa Clara Ave., 1968-2021).
