Description: Lorgnette with oval lenses mounted in tortoise shell frame with elaborate cut-out filigree handle (also of tortoise shell). When not in use the lense section (revolving on a pin) can be inserted into the handle. Size: (closed) L-4 3/4 inches.
History of Object: Lorgnette used by Lura Smith and her sister, old time residents of Alameda. They were the aunts of Yvonne Low.
