Description:
two black vinyl disks with yellow and black label, in tan dust covers. The label has printed text: 'Audiodisc recording blank, New York USA'. One disk has handwritten in black pen: 'Alameda Queen' and in green type 'Part I' on one side, and 'Part II' on the other side, as well as marked to state recorded at 78 R.P.M., outside in. The other disk is lacking the 'Alameda Queen', but otherwise appears identical.
Size: diam. 10 inches; dust cover L 10' x W 10'
History of Object: Recording (2) for broadcasting, featuring the 'Queen of Alameda'. When tested (in 2021) the quality appeared limited. The objects were sent by mail (envelope now discarded) to the museum, accompanied by a handwritten note (now inserted into the dust sleeve), dated June 28, 2017.
