Description: Soft bound booklet with cover design in the Art Nouveau style. Design consists of a woman in flowing gown in green and blue colored type on a red colored background. Bold printed caption “Alameda, California" in green colored type completes cover design.

History of Object: Booklet entitled “Alameda, Alameda County, California” with articles by prominent residents of the City. The emphasis of the booklet is that Alameda is a city of homes, consequently, there are many illustrations of prominent residential structures. Also included are views of City Hall, Park Avenue, etc. This booklet given to the Alameda Historical Society, numbered 166B, prior to 1971 and never catalogued.
