Description: silver souvenir spoon, with engraved in the bowl of the spoon an image of Washington School, on the handle an image of a bear, ripe wheat, and the word ‘California’ in fancy capital letters. On the reverse, ‘June 7-1912’. Marked with a maker’s mark, and the word ‘STERLING’.
An original typed Historical Society tag is tied to the handle with string, identifying the donor.

History of Object: souvenir spoon from Washington School, possibly a graduation souvenir. This version of Washington School was built around 1909 and demolished 1957.
