No. 13.1.39 Subject Category: Household, furniture Date or Period: c. 1930 - 1940's Object: Chair, boudoir Description: A boudoir (or slipper) chair covered with a silk brocade fabric with a pattern of stripes alternating between a lime green and a beige color. The chair is supported by wooden legs of a dark finish, which are hidden by a gathered flounce matching the fabric on the arms, seat and back. American made. Sizes: H-31 1/2 x D-19 1/2 x W-22 1/2 inches. History of Object: A boudoir chair found in one of the upstairs bedrooms, used by the Meyers family. Acquired from: Meyers estate Date: 01/10/13

1/27/2024 MvL: current sign (for 13.1.35, 13.1.36, 13.1.37 and 13.1.39) BOUDOIR FURNISHINGS Hanging shoe caddy, plus a 4-drawer lingerie chest and two 4-drawer shoe chests, c. 1950's. All of these were used by the Meyers sisters. Striped boudoir chair with original upholstery, which also belonged to the Meyers sisters.
