Font-removable two seam mold line clear glass kerosene font with metal collar with screw thread type burner & circular screw top oil filler. b. Wall bracket-the kerosene font rests in a basket like receptacle (cast iron) which can be removed from the bracket arm by turning it in a circular motion. The lamp font & holder is supported by an elaborate cast iron swivel arm bracket with cut-out designs in the Victorian style. The bracket arm rests in a metal holder (not original) which can be affixed to the wall by 3 screws. Reflector-lamp also has the original circular mercury glass reflector (c) but the pin by which it is supported to the iron bracket, is missing. Size, 13 inches from font to wall. Font, 6x3 inches. History of Object: Found hanging in the kitchen of 1813 9th Street, Alameda, by the donor, who had purchased the house from some elderly owners, who used the lamp for illumination.
