Description: Black colored heavy cotton one piece bathing suit with skirt. The skirt has stenciled (in white block lettering) on the right hip "Sunny Cove". Two clothing labels (both embroidered lettering), upper states (black & gold thread) "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off., G. & M., Gantner & Mattern Co., San Francisco, lower states (red on white) "42". Tank top straps (left strap fastened by one button) allows for putting on or removal of suit.
Size: length-33 inches.
History of Object: Official rental bathing suit (circa-1920), Sunny Cove Beach, 456 Central Avenue, Alameda, Ca. George H. & Bertha Masters, owners and proprietors. Now the present site of Paden School.
