Description: Short handled coal shovel made of iron (one sheet with no seams). Slightly scalloped edge near handle. Handle pierced. Size: 14½ inches in length, 4 3/4 inches across shovel blade.
History of Object: Found while clearing out the estate of Mrs. Ella King, 2153 San Jose Avenue, Alameda. The King family had occupied the home as early as 1920.
