History of Object: Folders with documents found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s. A. 90: 1924-1932 petitions and correspondence about stop signs, parallel vs. diagonal parking (e.g. on Park Street), yes or no parking on Central in front of the High School, no parking signs on streets with houses that had space for one car, or in front of the First Church of Christ, scientist, railroad crossing signs, no entry on the S.P. right of way, franchise for taxi stands, signs rerouting heavy trucks away from Gibbons Drive, dead-end signs, etc. B. 91: 1924 establishment of the Safety Council, to consider traffic regulations and accidents and cooperate with the East Bay Safety Council and appointment of members; resignation from same by E.C.
