History of Object: Refoldered documents found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s. Documents relate to period under City Manager C.E. Hickok. The contents are as follows: A: from 'pouch' 145: documents about subdivisions; Fernside (1928); Justice Tract/extension of Clay Street (1928-1930); iterations of 'Alameda Marina', owner A.E.J. Duchesnay, extension of Park Street, Park Ave, and Regent St past Bay Island Ave / Otis Dr., 1930-1932); lots on Union and Santa Clara (1932). B. from 'pouch' 146: complaints about Southern Pacific railroad crossings, 1925-1926. C. from 'pouch' 147: properties in questionable state; 1.1. Buena Vista near Stanton owned by Mr. Harriet Louis [perhaps Mrs. was intended?], 1925; 2. houses on the corner of Encinal at Oak, scheduled to be moved to Foley Street, with photograph of the buildings, 1931. D. from 'pouch' 148: development of harbor front along the Estuary. Includes report, which includes history of plans for a Naval Base, and blueprints of Government Island. E. from 'pouch' 149: plans by the post office to discontinue, and after complaints, continue, delivery in the area of the former Borax Works, after that went out of business.
