Description: a soft cover booklet with a cover design in blue ink featuring "Trolley Talk" heading on the front cover, together with a table of contents and other information. A black rubber stamped logo (abt.1 1/2" diam.) of the "Alameda Advancement Association" appears at the lower left margin of the cover. Page 4/5 is detached, and the lower right corner of the front cover is missing. Advertisements appear on the back and the inside covers, and occasionally throughout the booklet.
Size: L-10 3/4 x W–7 3/4 in.
History of Object: The August, 1905, edition of "Trolley Talk", a monthly periodical published by the Oakland Traction Club as a house organ for the Oakland Traction Consolidated, a municipal railway serving Oakland and Alameda, and a precursor of the Key System. Pages 6-8 discuss Alameda and show illustrations of the City Hall, the Mitchell residence on Sherman STreet, and the Encinal Yacht Club.
