SURROUNDING THE SHANKS ARE INCISED LETTERING, "SHANNON, MILLER, AND CRANE." FACES OF BUTTONS HAVE DECORATIVE DESIGNS OF WREATHS CONSISTING OF LEAVES SURROUNDING THE INITIAL "P" ON EACH BUTTON. SIZE: D 1" HISTORY OF OBJECTS: BUTTONS FROM THE UNIFORM OF LOUIS SCHROEDER, WHO WAS ONE OF ALAMEDA'S FIRST POLICE OFFICERS. MR. SCHROEDER WAS THE GREAT GRANDFATHER OF THE DONOR.
