History of Object: Textbook used by Castor Nielsen, employee of the Naval Air Station. Textbooks used in civilian training classes for air mechanics for Naval Air Station in 1942-43. Castor Nielsen was coordinator with the Base and school. A longtime resident of Alameda, he was hired as an air mechanic in April 1941 and retired as a personnel supervisor in 1959.
