These documents were originally in a folder (discarded in 2011) with a green label on the tab stating: "Parking Off-Street Parking Lots Construction - 1956". Documents in this folder include: Clippings and Resolution 5312 about establishment of off-street City Parking lots (Central Ave, between Oak and Park; west of Park Ave between Post Office Court and Santa Clara, and east of Weber St. between Haight and Santa Clara Ave.), and preliminary reports and researches, including 1954 report from consultants Stone & Youngberg (S.F.), referring back to documents from 1943. Lists curb parking spaces with meters in 1954; Construction reports 1957. Mark J. Hanna City Engineer, Carl Froerer City Manager, Neil Clark Assistant City Manager.
