Description: An original oil painting on academy board depicting a vase of flowers and a candlestick. The picture frame is of wood and gesso with a border of green color trimmed in antique gold.
Size: L-26 x W-22 inches.
History of Object: A framed painting by the Russian-born artist, Michael Chepourkoff (1899-1955). Artist's biography can be found in Edan Milton Hughes' book Artists in California 1786-1940. Inscribed on the painting's verso is a handwritten message: "To Mister and Miss Meyers, Good Wishes, Nov. 15, 1954 San Francisco". The painting was found in the architectural studio.
