Description: Oblong sample. Subject, canary yellow, brown & cream medallions joined by sinuous green design on ivory background. This has been pasted over wallpaper with leaf and flower design (bola) in shades of blue. The wall-paper has been affixed to a thick blank stock which was possibly glued to crude walls, an early technique to cover unplastered walls. Size: 9½x21½ inches.
History of Object: Early wallpaper removed by the donor from a 19th century building (address unknown), demolished for the construction of the present Police Department, Southwest corner Oak Street and Lincoln Avenue.
