Description: A hard leather helmet, painted white (to denote that it's the fire chief's helmet.) The front of the helmet has a shield surmounted by a brass eagle's head. The interior has a brown corduroy sweat band. Size: Helmet brim 14 "X 11". 9" high.
History of Object: White helmet worn by the first fire chief of the city of Alameda Fire Department.
