Hardbound book with cover of imitation white-colored leather. Cover has incised caption, “Acorn 1949" in gold-colored type.

History:
Illustrated copy of the Alameda High School yearbook, “Acorn” for 1949. Rear portion of book has ads for local businesses. This copy was owned by Bob O’Hare. Robert Frederich O’Hare is listed as high senior, and the Art Director for this Acorn. He signed the illustration on the second page. Robert was born in San Francisco in 1930. His family moved to Alameda sometime after 1940. After College in Oakland and military service in Korea, he moved to New York and worked in fashion, before moving back to California, and eventually teaching Apparel Design at the College of Alameda.
This yearbook was donated to the Berkeley Public Library, and was in their workroom for several years.
