History of Object: postcard sent to the donor. The subject of the watercolor painting is the Italianate residence at 900 Grand Ave, built 1879. Possibly published by the artist, Jim Kingwell (1950-), who attended Alameda High School, class of 1968, and contributed cartoons to the Alameda Journal in the 1980s, before moving to Maui. It is unknown at this time who or which organization coined the term 'Isle of Style'.
