The plate has a decorative caption stating "Souvenir of Alameda, Calif." Porcelain unmarked (most likely of German manufacture). Size: C-8 1/2 inches. History of Object: Plate "Souvenir of Alameda, California," depicting views of the city (City Hall, High School, Public Library, houseboats, and a residential street scene). The plate originally belonged to Annie Anderson Davies Cox, born Bay Farm Island, Alameda, 1885. She was the mother of the donor. Note: The following collection of objects are from the Anderson family and their descendants, pioneers of Bay Farm Island, Alameda.
