History of Object: Slate, with vintage pencil and stylus, previously owned by Ruth E. Thompson and others. Ruth (b. June 1881) lived in Alameda in 1900, but the family moved to Berkeley around 1909. The other names were all possibly also residents; Laura Greeley could be Laura E. Greeley (b. 1882) wife of Charles B. Greeley, Alameda residents in 1900. J. H. Deal could have been Joseph H. Deal (b. 1868), resident in Alameda 1900-1930. No information could be found about the other people.
