Description: White porcelain plate, gold edge, with transfer center depicting rolled out scroll, bold caption "Alameda Heritage Days" and illustration of Victorian house and a sailing ship. On the reverse is a monochromatic outline of the same image, with to the left 'May 27 Thru' and on the right 'July 4, 1978', and underneath the text: 'This commemorative plate is dedicated to those pioneers, past and present, who have made Alameda, California, the beautiful Isle City. Limited Edition'. In gold: '165/500'.
Size: Diameter 9 1/4 inches.
History of Object: Commemorative plate from the 1978 Heritage Days celebration. The pattern on plate was designed by Roger Hooper, Alameda resident.
This plate is a second copy in the collection, cataloged in case of breakage of the first.
