Size folder: L 14 3/4” X W 9” History of Object: Documents found in the attic of City Hall, prior to renovations. These documents were originally held in a folder with metal clip (discarded in 2011) with a green label on the tab stating: "Golf Course - 1940-1955. Documents include decision to remove mud hens and tame ducks; discussions of building a new clubhouse (1940-1945; architect, Andrew Hass. Includes letters, on stationery, of the Alameda Golf Club (1940) and the Alameda Women’s Golf Club (1945)); documents regarding the management (Earl Fry, manager, Wm Sousa Head Greenskeeper (1950); James Hunter, clubhouse manager); a request from NAS for reduced fees; acquisition / disposal of equipment, personnel matters, water supply, grounds maintenance, fee evaluations; construction of a second 18-hole course (1950s).
