History of Object: Certificate awarded to George A. Davies from the Ancient Order of Foresters, dated July 1, 1904. Mr Davies was a resident of Alameda as early as 1911; he was a clerk for Aiton Company (grocers) at 1231 Park St. He married Laura Anderson, 3rd daughter of George and Josephine Anderson, pioneers of B.F.I. since 1872.
This certificate was found behind a framed photo of Annie Laura Anderson Davies Cox, George Davies' widow. The orig. acc. no. of the photo is 82.52.2.
