History of Object: Newspaper clipping concerning the history of the introduction of the eucalyptus tree in America. Seeds from the tree were sent by Bishop Wm. Taylor (in Australia) to his wife living in Alameda. Mrs. Taylor planted the seeds and kept them in a hot house until the slips were from seven months to a year old and then she planted them out of doors.
