Also states 'Period Costume Optional' and gives location as 'Alameda Hospital Bonus Room, Willow Street and Clinton Avenue, Alameda Island'. Verso is stamped with: Office of the Mayor, 301 City Hall'. D: card with horizontal fold, with embossed rectangle with gold outline, with, in inexpertly written calligraphy letters, the name 'Ed'. History of Object: Tickets and place card for the dinner dance organized to celebrate the centennial of the City Charter. The dance was held on November 24, 1984, at the Alameda Hospital. Tickets were sponsored by Nor Cal Yachts, Mariner Square, Alameda Island. The tickets and card, stapled together, were found inside cookbook 89.47.63, and must have belonged to the late Edward Fowler, Alameda resident.
