Description. Certificate with bold printed caption "Progress Award" on imitation parchment paper. Ornately printed decorative border (brown colored type) surrounds message (black colored type). Embossed (gold) incorporation seal attached to lower left corner. Antique gold frame.

History of Object:
Progress award presented by the Alameda Chamber of Commerce to Toby's Laundromat, Santa Clara Avenue, near Park Street. The laundry was owned and operated by the late Darrel Root, in whose home (2224 Lincoln Avenue) the document was found.
