Description:
This model is constructed out of balsa wood. On both sides is written "Park Street & Santa Clara-- 7th & Broadway" at the top. Along the lower side above the wheels is written "Alameda & Oakland Ry." On both the front and back it says "Alameda-Oakland 4"... The colors are on the body in red, ruff white, and basegray. It sits on a miniature track mounted on a section of wood.
Size: wooden base: nine inches by 3½ inches. The car measures 6" in length by 4" in height.
History Of Object: This miniature horse car was made by Mr. W. E. Horrisberger. The Alameda & Oakland Railroad Company was commonly known as the Meetz Line. It ran from Park Street to 7th and Broadway. It was abandoned in 1894. Then it was bought by Alameda, Oakland & Piedmont Electric Railroad. Mr. William Rank was president.

A model of a horse car of the Alameda & Oakland Railroad Co. Commonly known as the "Meetz Line", it ran from Park St., Alameda, to 7th & Broadway, Oakland, until 1894. Its assets were purchased by the Oakland & Piedmont Electric Railroad, Wm. Rank, President.
