No. 81.267.5 Subject Category: Businesses, Dairy Date or Period: Circa, early 1900's Object: Bottle, milk Description: Half pint milk bottle, raised lettering in circular-like label stating "Encinal Creamery, 1342 Park St., Alameda", and trademark a diamond enclosing a letter E within a large letter C. The glass has turned a lavender shade. Bottle has a protruding lip with recessed ledge for supporting paper top. On the base of the bottle in raised letters "121, Empire, Pat, Aug 13, ol". Size: 5½" tall, and base 2½" across. History of Object: Bottle found in old dump near Bay Farm Island Bridge. The glass has a cloudy film from being exposed to salt water. Excavated by donors.
