Sleeves are finished with a smaller version of the same motif at the wrist. Closure on the back is with 4 apparently plastic buttons and long bow ties. Size: L 39" History of Object: Christening Dress worn by Alameda artist Aloysius John Kammer (1932-2018). John Kammer, born in Philadelphia, first came to Alameda to visit relatives, then moved here in 1988 to paint the many Victorian buildings and other scenes.
