History of Object: Documents found in the attic of City Hall, in a folder (discarded in 2011) with tab legend: ‘Street Dept. - Paving 1928-1930’. Documents pertain to improvements started by City Manager Hickok, and City Engineer Burnett Hamilton, of Santa Clara, Buena Vista, Webster, and Park Street, including changes to the wiring and removal of trees and railroad tracks. Reflects the end of service of the Postal Telegraph Company (letter of March 5, 1929). Includes pages from Western Construction News about the work. Folder further includes papers about a proposed Municipal bus service, and a petition for continued service to Bay Farm Island.
