Object: Doll Carriage
Description: A doll carriage, with leather seat cushion and back and sides of white-painted wicker, attached to a wooden support, which in turn is mounted on an iron base with two wheels and pull. No manufacturer's markings.
Black lacquer paint of the pull and wheels, is peeling in places. The handle has one replacement screw and bolt.
Size: approx. L 36" x W 15" x H (handle) 25 1/2"
History of Object: Doll carriage which was owned by Dorothy Alice Hagen (1910-2019), the grandmother of the donor, who had amassed an extensive collection of dolls and miniatures. The family moved to Alameda in the 1920s. Dorothy lived next door to Phyllis Diller in the 1950s.
