The booklet has a sticker stating 'Alameda Collection' and on back, a crossed-through bar code from the Alameda Free Library. Also has been stamped, and labeled in pencil. First page has stamp in red with 'Withdrawn'. Size: L 11 x W 8 1/2 inches History of Object: Alameda City Police Department Annual Report for the 1970 calendar year. Prepared by City Manager, H. D. Weller, and Chief of Police, Richard Young. The report is dedicated to chief William A. Tulloh, who retired that year and whose image is on the first page. Report includes information about crimes, staffing and services, and other police matters. In the Introduction the Chief mentions the establishment of the 911 emergency number.
