Description: File in the form of a pseudo-book, the spine of which has a textured paper resembling buckram. On the spine is imprinted: "Cyclone File", "Letters", in black color type on a mustard color background.
Size: H-12 1/2 x D-11 1/4 inches.
History of Object: File of correspondence to and from the Alameda Advancement Association (which was formed "to promote the welfare of the City of Alameda") for the year 1905. Other miscellaneous papers are included in this file, such as signed petitions, membership receipts, etc. This organization met monthly in the City Hall, and its directors consisted of prominent citizens.
