Description: Typewritten land transactions which have been attached to manila folders Folders are contained in a loose leaf coverlet with cover design in green resembling cracked ice with matching tape binding. Cover has typewritten label obscured by glue.

History: Information concerning land sold by W. Chipman and G. Auginbaugh, co-founders of the City of Alameda from October 16, 1851 to August 5, 1853. Also included is a copy of the information on the real estate circular dated 1873 for property bounded by Central, Santa Clara and Everett. The final document is a copy of the original agreement between Antonio Peralta, W.W. Chipman and G. Aughinbaugh for the purchase of the Bolsa del Encinal, which would become the City of Alameda, in 1851.
