Description: Legal-size manila file folders, stamped with a number between 80 and 84 on the folder tab, with documents, marked similarly on the reverse.
History of Object: Folders with documents found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s. These folders pertain to the following topics:
A. '80' - pensions for city employees; includes actuary lists and a breakdown of employees by age, gender, department. Also contract for street and sewer work on Central Ave.
B. '82' - holding #81-1: Request, approved by Police Chief Wahmuth, to sell guns at Mazzini’s hardware and plumbing store, 1515 Park Street; #82: Bond and appointment by Mayor Frank Otis, of Leon Ader as treasurer He replaced Oswald Lubbock who died Dec 24, 1923. Also appointment of Homer R. Dallas as Deputy Tax Collector by Leon Ader.
C. '83' - Correspondence regarding a national standard for radio communication.
D. '84' -Correspondence regarding Requests by city and improvement club for Southern Pacific and Key System Transit Co. to remove tracks and refurbish streets after ceasing service.
