Description:
a. Sterling silver fraternal medal consisting of a bar pin with raised design of clasped hands & initials "P. C. & M.", from which is hung a fob (with the design of two crossed gavels). The bar pin supports a wine colored silk ribbon with an elaborate pendant with rococo border framing a depiction of St. George slaying the dragon. On the reverse side incised in the silver is the manufacturer's mark "B. B. Co. Ster". Size, 4 inches in length, by two inches in width
b. box, green exterior, interior of bottom half lined with green velvet.
Size: 4 x 3 inches, ½ inch depth.
History of Object: President's medal, Alameda Branch, Order of the Daughters of St. George. The Alameda Lodge, Golden Poppy 249, was founded here in 1922, and closed in 1976.
