History of Object: medicine bottle from the Sterling Pharmacy, Prescription Specialists, Chestnut Sta. (Station), Alameda, Cal., Phone Alameda 345. Oil of Sassafras is now a banned substance because it is carcinogenic, but before this was known, it was used in perfumes, as well as eye medication.
