History: Report submitted by George R. Bissel, examining teacher, dated June 2, 1879 concerning the examination created by Mr. Bissel and given to the grammar and primary grades of the Alameda Schools (U.S. History, spelling, geography, etc.). This collection of documents was given to the Alameda Historical Society in 1960 and never catalogued. They were donated by the then Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Donald Roderick.
