The map folds and is enclosed in a black colored buckram cover with caption in incised lettering "Map of the City of Oakland, Berkeley, Oakland, Brooklyn Township, & Alameda.
Size: L-28 x W-38 inches.
History of Object:
Map depicting Alameda (Oakland, Berkeley, etc.) that belonged to the Henry F. Strachan family, old-time residents of the community. Mr. Strachan had a home built in 1901 at 2701 Santa Clara Avenue.
