History of Object: Clipping of Obituary of Elizabeth Howell Minor, who was born in Alameda around 1918, died May 6, 1995. Her maternal grandparents, Frederic and Marie Tardiff, settled in Alameda in 1891, and Mrs Tardiff is credited with naming Fair Oaks Avenue. The Minor family moved around between 1953 and 1965, but returned to Alameda. Elizabeth worked at the Alameda Library. She was the mother of noted Alameda historian Woodruff Minor.
These clippings were found in a 1933 Acorn. Elizabeth Minor (Howell) was a high Junior and editor for that publication.
