Description: Dining room chairs that appear to be made of cherry wood. The crest in their slats has a routed design. Their seats are of woven rush that are divided into four sections. The front stretchers are lathe-turned; the other rungs are of plain wood.
Size: H-35 x D-14 x W-16 inches.
History of Object: A set of three chairs that appear to be of French manufacture, possibly by a "cottage” business. The chairs had belonged to Wm. Frank Stone (1868-1975), and later by Lester Frank Stone (1892-1975) and were used by the family at their then residence on St. Charles St., in Alameda.
