Size: L 14 3/4” X W 9”. History of Object: Folder with documents, found in the attic of City Hall in the 1990s, in a folder, discarded in 2011, marked ‘Misc. Business Invoices’. The invoices relate to purchases, mostly by H. O. Maynard, for the Unemployment/ Employment Bureau or Unemployment Relief Committee, and include stationery or receipts or cancelled (used) checks of local businesses of the time: Alameda Journal; Vosburgh Hardware; Woolworth; Harold Hovet; Commercial National Bank, (including a cash book for the Unemployment Relief Fund); Jas. D. Faden; N.O. Ford; Santa Clara Ave. Cyclery; Bank of Italy; Bank of America; Alameda Repair & Supply Co.; Barker’s; Elster Printing Company; Alameda Times Star.
