Size: L-5 x W-5 3/4 inches.
History of Object: Rare advertising card for the White Cross Hospital, 2260 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda. The card was found among some miscellaneous papers of the late Harry Nielsen, who was born in the hospital, Jan. 10, 1910, Dr. Claric, physician. The hospital building, now much altered as an apartment building & stuccoed, still stands adjoining the Alameda Free Library. The White Cross Hospital had a health plan that you paid for monthly, similar to today's Kaiser Health plan.
